A message from the 2022-2023 LCIF Chairperson

Dear Friends,

It has been my sincere pleasure to serve as chairperson of LCIF this year.

While we continued to face challenges throughout the world, Lions remained resilient, supporting important work in all of our global foundation’s focus areas. Within this Annual Report, you will read about some of the life-changing service made possible by your support. I hope it will inspire you as much as it has inspired me.

I will be forever grateful for my time as chairperson of LCIF. Throughout the year, I was able to travel to see the impact of LCIF grants and how far our donations go in helping us serve the world. I have heard inspirational stories of service in communities near and far, as well as stories of generosity as Lions, Leos, and others donated to our foundation to support people in need across the globe. We are truly making a difference through our service from the heart empowered by our global foundation.

Our heartfelt thanks

During the 105th Lions International Convention in Boston, USA, 2022-2023 LCIF Chairperson Douglas X. Alexander announced that LCIF had not only achieved its US$50 million goal and reached his US$55 million stretch goal but had surpassed both because of the generosity of donors worldwide.

“As Lions we don’t just meet expectations, we exceed them,” Alexander said while sharing the final fundraising total: more than US$68 million!

Thank you to every Lion, Leo, club, district, multiple district, organization or individual who contributed to LCIF this year. Your donation has made a difference in the world.
