Tell Your Story, Magnify Your Impact

Bill Hatzos and Jordan Stibal October 28, 2021

It’s time to tell your story of service made possible by Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) grants and programs. Wondering how?

Introducing LCIF: Stories of Pride, the Foundation’s new storytelling platform designed just for you.

Whether Lion, Leo, or partner or friend of LCIF, it’s easy to share your amazing humanitarian work through Stories of Pride. Grab your smartphone, tablet, or computer to begin telling the world how LCIF grant funding helped magnify your service impact! In the process, you’ll inspire others to tell their stories of creating healthier and happier lives.

Stories like those from Lions Vinay and Amsha Naicker, Melvin Jones Fellows, creating joy for children with cancer in Botswana. And Lion Dr. Joseph Carbone, who along with his Utah, USA, club used an LCIF grant to deliver vital eye care to un- and underinsured children. Perhaps your story of pride is similar to the one from Lion Calupitan that focused on eliminating water contamination affecting marine life in the Philippines. Or perhaps you too participated in a socially-distanced fundraiser, like Lions in Indonesia, who biked the roads to support LCIF while honoring Melvin Jones.

I’ve got a story! What are my sharing options?
To help showcase service projects and cause areas you’re passionate about in a way most comfortable and meaningful to you, LCIF offers three quick and easy options:

  • Video
  • Image and text
  • Testimonial

Have a great video of a service project and the community you helped? Make sure the video is uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook. You’ll need the link to that uploaded video to submit your story to Stories of Pride. Connect the world to see your service in motion!

Image and Text
Have a captivating image of the moment you helped a child smile, a family access food, or a community feel hope? Take viewers on a photographic journey through your service project by sharing as many as six photos. Provide further insight by including a description of the project, so others can experience your humanitarian work up close.

Testimonial (Text)
If using words alone is the most powerful and comfortable way to convey your story of healing and hope, use Stories of Pride’s testimonial option. In your preferred language, express the impact your club’s service project or partnership with LCIF has made in your community or around the world. Tell us about your project’s goal; the people you helped; how LCIF grant funding took your service to even greater heights; and/or how you, your club, and beneficiaries of your service felt because of the project. Humanitarians are ready to read your words of spirit and life.
