Each year, Lions from as many as 130 countries participate in a procession on the second day of the International Convention, a tradition dating back to the early 1920s. Many Lions don traditional dress, colors or costumes for the march.
Lions raised US$15 million during the aftermath of the South Asia tsunami in 2004. Every dollar went to Lions in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Thailand to help rebuild homes, schools and orphanages.
