The Reading Action Program called for Lions to organize service projects that promote reading. Lions clubs around the world responded with a broad variety of reading programs and donations of books and computers.
In Petropolis, Brazil, Lions’ community garden assists people with disabilities in learning about gardening and vegetables. In Montana, Lions sponsor a school garden to educate children and provide them with fresh food.
