Since 1988, Lions Clubs International has sponsored the annual Lions International peace Poster Contest to encourage young people to express their perspectives on peace.

Promoting Peace and understanding in the face of tragedy, Lions in Norway host a Peace Camp for teenagers. In Germany, Lions support a Peace Village.

The first three Lions Clubs in the Philippines received their charters in 1949, and three years later, Filipino Lions helped establish the first Lions club in Japan.
