Chevron Award Program

Anniversaries remind us of our milestones and give us the opportunity to celebrate, commemorate and reflect. Lions International recognizes our members’ anniversaries by presenting them with Chevron Awards.

What are Chevron Awards?

Chevron Awards are given to Lions to commemorate their years of service and encourage them to continue making a difference in their local communities and worldwide.

There are two types — Charter Monarch Chevron Awards and Monarch Chevron Awards — that Lions may receive. Once a Lion has met all the necessary requirements, the award is automatically shipped to the current year’s district governor between July and September and presented to the winning Lion at a district convention or other celebration.

Eligibility and criteria

To receive a Charter Monarch Chevron Award or a Monarch Chevron Award, the following eligibility requirements and criteria must be met:

Charter Monarch Chevron Award

This award is given only to club chartering Lions who have served for 10 years, continuing every five years until their 95th year of service.

Monarch Chevron Award

This award is given to any Lion who has served for 10 years, continuing every five years until their 95th year of service.
