*You can choose to receive 50% off dues as a Leo-Lion whose membership does not count toward the club delegate count for international, multiple district, or district elections. You can also waive your dues discount in order to count towards your club's total delegate entitlement, provided you have been paying full dues for at least a year and a day. If you would like to waive your dues discount, please ask your club secretary or club president to make this change in the Lion Portal. In areas not using the Lion Portal, please contact [email protected] for assistance.

Scholarship opportunities
- Cultural Exchange Ambassador Scholarship - Awarded to Leo-Lion Cultural Exchange Ambassadors to represent your constitutional area, and attend forum sessions and events. Apply by May 24 to be considered for all forums. Apply by July 26 to be considered for the CA III, V, VI, and VIII forums.

- What club options do I have as a Leo-Lion?
Leo-Lion can join any kind of Lions club, and there are a variety of club types to choose from.
Leo-Lions may be especially interested in chartering a Leo-Lion club, especially since they can be a great option for inviting their friends to join. Members aged 30 and younger joining a Leo-Lion club as a Young Adult member enjoy a 50% discount on international dues and a charter or entrance fee waiver like their Leo-Lion peers.
- Can Leo-Lions serve on committees, cabinets, councils and more?
Yes! Lions International encourages multiple districts and districts to include Leo-Lions on their councils and cabinets. Leo-Lions have been representing young members at the international level since 2018, including the Leo-Lion board liaison position.
- I’m missing Leo years of service from my record. How can I credit them to my Lion member record?
The first step is always to ensure accurate Leo club reporting and to ensure that your Leo membership was properly transferred when you became a Leo-Lion. Members can view their record on the Lion Portal to ensure accuracy.
If you are an active Leo-Lion missing part of your Leo years of service, you may need to complete a Leo to Lion Certification form (LL-2). For members in the Leo-Lion program who need additional assistance, please reach out to [email protected] for assistance.
- I’ve heard that Leo-Lions can waive their international dues discount to count towards their club’s delegate entitlement. How can I waive my international dues discount?
Leo-Lions have the option to waive their international dues discount to count towards their club’s total delegate entitlement, and additional information can be found in chapter XVII of Board Policy. Your Lions club secretary and president can waive your dues discount for you in the Lion Portal. For areas not using the Lion Portal, the LL-2 may be submitted to [email protected] to waive your international dues discount.
- How do I get a Leo-Lion membership pin?
All new active Leo-Lions will receive a free pin compliments of Lions Clubs International shipped directly to the member after they are added into the Lion Portal as a Leo-Lion member. Leo-Lions may purchase replacement pins from the Lions Shop. Delivery times vary, so allow reasonable time to receive your complimentary pin. - When should I expect to receive my Leo-Lion membership pin?

- Can anyone wear a Leo-Lion membership pin?
The Leo-Lion pin is a membership program benefit exclusively for current active Leo-Lion members. The membership pin is not to be worn by those who are not Leo-Lions or those who are no longer eligible for the Leo-Lion program. Additionally, the Leo-Lion membership pin should not be gifted to non Leo-Lion members or used for trading.
- I’m interested in applying for the Leo-Lion scholarships. When are applications open?
An application link will be available when applications open. They have historically opened in the spring but application opening times may vary each year.
- How can I serve as a Leo-Lion Board Liaison?
Leo-Lion Board Liaisons are appointed by the International President annually. Each incoming international president determines their own method for identifying and appointing a Leo-Lion Board Liaison, so this process may change annually.
- Where can I find logos, social graphics, and guidelines for marketing as a Leo-Lion?
