Transparency and Financial Stewardship
Financial transparency is one of the most important commitments a charity can make to its donors. As the charitable arm of Lions Clubs International, Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) ensures every contribution drives meaningful impact.
Our mission is to empower Lions clubs, volunteers and partners to improve health and wellbeing, strengthen communities and support those in need through humanitarian service and grants that impact lives globally, and encourage peace and international understanding.
Since 1968, LCIF has provided grant funding to Lions, Leos and partners worldwide, empowering humanitarian service projects that change lives. Stewarding donor funds responsibly, LCIF prioritizes transparency, governance and results-driven philanthropy.

Investing to sustain our mission
LCIF allocates 100% of your financial gift to grants and program expenses. Learn how we responsibly steward your donations to maximize impact.
The Humanitarian Fund is the foundation’s main portfolio, where funds beyond immediate cash flow needs are invested to earn income. LCIF’s primary long-term investment objective is to achieve a total rate of return (net of investment management fees and expenses) that will allow it to fulfill its mission. Over the long term, targeted investment returns are anticipated to be sufficient to cover projected administrative and development expenses, which allows donations to be used to fund program expenses, including grants.
In alignment with our mission, LCIF incorporates Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into its investment strategy, reflecting our commitment to responsible stewardship and sustainable impact. By considering ESG factors when making investment decisions, we aim to ensure that our financial growth supports positive change across communities worldwide.
