Our elders looked at their empty nest years and envisioned a time of leisure. Not us. We see them as a time of involvement. Instead of kicking back, we’re giving back – and as Lions we’re doing it in a big way.
We total more than 1.35 million members in over 46,000 clubs in nearly 200 countries. Each year we devote more than 500 million dollars (U.S.) and more than 70 million volunteer hours to tackling tough problems in three main arenas: community development, youth and health.
Large though we are, ours is an organization where individuals have impact. Every one of our clubs pursues our mission in its own way. Around the globe, we’re developing communities, promoting peace, caring for children, and fighting disease. Each and every day…we’re helping to change the world.
