Esther LaMothe, from Jackson, Michigan, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 96th International Convention held in Hamburg, Germany July 5 through 9, 2013.
Director LaMothe is a retired school administrator.
A member of the Novi Lions Club, and a Lion since 1995, she has held many offices within the association, including secretary, president, district governor, zone and region chairperson, district and multiple district leadership development chairperson and council chairperson. She has also been a moderator and presenter at several USA/Canada Forums and International Conventions.
In recognition of her service to the association, she has received numerous awards including the 100% Club President, the Certified Guiding Lion Award, the Member Key Award, the International President’s Medal, two International President’s Leadership Medals, and four International President's Certificates of Appreciation. She is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to her Lions activities, Director LaMothe is active in numerous professional and community organizations, including the Midwest Eye-Banks and the Ladies Professional Golf Association Wendy’s Charity Classic.
Director LaMothe has two sons.
