Writer's Guidelines
LION Magazine welcomes freelance article submissions with accompanying photos that depict the service goals and projects of Lions clubs on the local, national and international level.
Contributors may also submit general interest articles that reflect the humanitarian, community betterment and service activism ideals of the worldwide association.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization. Lions are recognized globally for their commitment to projects that benefit the blind, visually impaired and people in need.
The Headquarters Edition of LION Magazine, produced in Oak Brook, Illinois, is published 11 times annually – July/August is a combined issue. The circulation of the Headquarters Edition reaches approximately 500,000 readers (primarily in North America and English-speaking Asia and Africa).
Article length should not exceed 2,000 words, and is subject to editing. No gags, fillers, quizzes or poems are accepted. Photos must be color prints or sent digitally. LION Magazine pays upon acceptance of material.
