2008 Convention
The 2nd Global Leo Conference will be held during the Lions Clubs International Convention, Bangkok, Thailand. The Leo activities will be held on Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24. There will be a welcome center, opening and closing sessions, several panel discussions, and the opportunity for Leos to march in the International Parade.
You spoke and we listened! After the Convention last year, Leos expressed a desire for more Lion involvement in the Leo convention activities. Based on this feedback the panel discussions will be a mix of Leos and Lions addressing topics of interest to Leos and Lions involved in the program.

2007 Convention
Thank you to the more than 225 Leos who attended the Global Leo Conference in Chicago, during the Lions International Convention in July 2007. The Leos and Leo club advisors made the events a huge success. Leos from around the world exchanged ideas on topics important to Leos, such as "Leadership Skills," "Future Innovations" and "Strengthening the Leo Program."
Leos also had fun meeting other Leos from around the world at the many events, which included:
- Leo Opening Session where Immediate Past International President Ross welcomed the Leos to convention.
- Leo 50th Anniversary Reception where First Vice President Brandel addressed the Leos and congratulated them on their contributions.
- Leo Farewell Assembly where International President Amarasuriya spoke and invited questions from Leos.
Leos marched in the parade during the International Parade. This year, Leos had a special Leo float that included one of the world's largest pick-up trucks and Leo 50th Annivesary signs .
Many Leos also attended "Leo Focus Groups" held by an independent consultant hired by International Office. The focus groups were an opportunity for the consultant to gather information and ideas about the Leo Club Program from Leos. The consultant will use this information as well as other information received through interviews with Leos and Lions in each Constitutional Area to identify ways to enhance the Leo program and the communication provided by the Youth Programs Department at International Office. More information will be available about this in the coming months.
