Lions Cultural and Community Activities Program mission
statement is:
To cultivate the human
qualities and values that stimulate individual creativity,
enliven the community, and animate the human spirit.
The district governor
appoints a Lion to serve as District Cultural and Community
Activities chairman.
This chairman should
be familiar with:
- the issues involved
in cultural and community activities;
- Lions board policy
as it pertains to the Cultural and Community Activities
Program;
- information contained
in the "Cultural and Community
Activities Chairman's Guide" (IAD 71);
- their responsibilities
as chairmen (outlined in the "Cultural
and Community Activities Chairman's Guide" [IAD 71]);
- opportunities for
Lions to both create and contribute to cultural and
community activities;
- Culture and Community
Activities Program news from Lions International Headquarters;
- the requirements
for earning the Lions Club Community and Cultural
Activity Banner Patch Award.
Lions Culture and Community
Activities chairmen are encouraged to work with District
Public Relations chairmen to publicize their service
activities. In addition, chairmen can submit reports
and photographs of successful projects to:
