Eugenio Roman Jr., from Arecibo, Puerto Rico, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 91st International Convention, held in Bangkok, Thailand, June 23-27, 2008.
Director Roman is a sales and marketing director.
A member of the Arecibo Capitan Correa Lions Club and a Lion since 1981, Director Roman has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chairperson, region chairperson, district governor and Multiple District 51 Membership chairperson.
In recognition of his service to the association, Director Roman has received numerous awards, including a multiple district recognition award, the 100% District Governor Award and the International President's Leadership Award. He is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Roman has been active in numerous professional and community organizations, including the Knights of Columbus and the American Society of Quality Control.
Director Roman and his wife, Ibis Guzman, also a Lion, have two children.
