DR. SANG-DO LEE
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Dr. Sang-Do Lee, from Daejeon, Republic of Korea, was appointed to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s board meeting held in Sydney, Australia, in July 2010.
Director Lee is an ear, nose and throat doctor.
A member of the Jungwon Lions Club since 1981, he has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chair, region chair and district governor. He also served as member of the Korea Lions Golden Jubilee Commemorative Publication Committee and the Korean LION Magazine Editorial Committee.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards, including the 100% Attendance Award, several International President’s Certificates of Appreciation, two International President’s Awards and the Campaign SightFirst II Knight of Service Award. He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow and a Humanitarian Partner.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Lee is active in numerous professional and community organizations. He is currently an adjunct professor at Chungnam National University Hospital and executive director of the Korea University Alumni Association. In the past, he was an adjunct professor at the Keimyung University Medical College, director of the Daejeon City Medical Association and a member of the Medical Dispute Conciliation Committee for the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Director Lee and his wife, Yong-Me Kim, have two daughters, one son and four grandchildren.
