EDISSON KARNOPP
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Edisson Karnopp, from Santa Cruz Do Sul, Brazil, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 93rd International Convention, held in Sydney, Australia, June 28 to July 2, 2010.
Director Karnopp is a retired attorney.
A member of the Santa Cruz Do Sul-Centro Lions Club and a Lion since 1976, Director Karnopp has held many offices within the association, including club president, district governor and council chairperson.
In recognition of his service to the association, Director Karnopp has received numerous awards, including the 100% Club President Award, the 100% District Governor Award, the District Governor Model of Excellency, four Leadership medals, three President’s medals and six President’s certificates. He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow.
Director Karnopp and his wife, Rosenete, also a Lion and Melvin Jones Fellow, have three sons and three grandchildren.
