SHERYL M. JENSEN
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Sheryl M. Jensen, from Rotorua, New Zealand, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 95th International Convention, held in Busan, Korea, June 22 through 26, 2012.
Director Jensen is an arthritis educator with a background in school teaching.
A member of the Rotorua Sulphur City Lions Club since 1994, she has held many offices within the association, including club president, district leadership chairperson, region chairperson, district governor, council chairperson, MERL chairperson and National Executive Management Committee member.
In recognition of her service to the association, she has received numerous awards including a 100 Percent Attendance Award, a 100 Percent President’s Award, a Club Membership Growth Award, a District Governor’s Award, an International President’s Award for Distinguished Service to Leadership, a International Visionary Leadership Certificate and a Melvin Jones Fellowship.
In addition to her Lions activities, Director Jensen is active in numerous professional and community organizations, acting as a Justice of the Peace, Sunday school teacher and Cub/Scout Leader. She also participates in the Young Farmers Club and has received a Competent Toastmasters Certificate.
Director Jensen and her husband, Kevin, also a Lion, have one son and one daughter.
