DR. H. HAUSER WEILER
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Dr. H. Hauser Weiler, from Kilmarnock, Virginia, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 95th International Convention, held in Busan, Korea June 22-26, 2012.
Director Weiler is an ophthalmologist and was previously on the faculty for the Department of Ophthalmology at East Virginia Medical School.
A member of the Tappahannock Lions Club and member since 1989, he has held many offices within the association, including club president, district governor, multiple district Remote Area Medical (RAM) chair and council chair. He also served on the international convention elections committee and has traveled on three sight missions to the Dominican Republic with the Lions of Puerto Rico.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including Club Lion of the Year, three Council of Governors Awards, Lions of Virginia Foundation Humanitarian Award, International President’s Medal and four President’s Certificates of Appreciation. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Weiler is secretary and treasurer of the Northern Neck Medical Association, 32 Degree Mason, Kentucky Colonel and Arkansas Traveler.
Director Weiler and his wife, Donna, also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, have three children and four grandchildren.
