DANIEL O’REILLY
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Daniel O’Reilly, from Stickney, Illinois, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 92nd International Convention, held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, July 6-10, 2009.
Director O’Reilly serves as the President of the Village of Stickney, Illinois, and runs his own business.
A member of the Stickney-Forest View Lions Club since 1984, he has held many offices within the association, including club president, region chair, zone chair, district governor and vice council chair. He has also served as the district chair for the USA/Canada Forum, chairman for the district convention and chairman of the host committee for the 2007 International Convention in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including the 100% President Award, Lions of Illinois Foundation Fellow Award, three 100% Zone Chairman Awards, three 100% Region Chair Awards, eight Governor Appreciation Awards, 100% Governor Award, Super Chairman Candy Day Award, District Governor Extension Award, International Extension Award, Senior Master Membership Key, four International President Certificates of Appreciation and two International President Medals. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director O’Reilly is active in numerous professional and community organizations. He is a current member of the Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind Advisory Committee.
Director O’Reilly and his wife, Maryanne, have two sons.
