Robert Rettby, from Neuchâtel, Switzerland, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of Lions Clubs International at the association’s 96th International Convention held in Hamburg, Germany July 5 through 9, 2013.
Director Rettby is a CEO and director of a family-owned construction company and water treatment facility.
A member of the Neuchâtel Lions Club since 1993, he has held many offices within the association, including secretary, district governor, zone and region chairperson, council chairperson, chairman of the organizing committee for National Lions Day 2012, and LCI representative to UNICEF.
In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including several governor awards. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Rettby is active in numerous professional and community organizations, including the Committee of Energies of the City of Neuchatel, the Swiss Association of Architects and Engineers (SIA) and several other associations, circles and sports clubs.
Director Rettby and his wife, Catherine, have two sons.
