INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR

Krishna Reddy, from Bangalore, India, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 93rd International Convention, held in Sydney, Australia, June 28 to July 2, 2010.

Director Reddy is the chairperson and managing director of a commercial and residential construction company.

A member of the Lions Club of Bangalore East since 1995, he has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chair, region chair, leadership and SightFirst district chair, district governor, multiple council chair and multiple district membership committee chair. He also served as chairperson of Lions District 324D6 Lions Leadership Institute and a trustee for the Lions District 324D6 Service Foundation and the Bangalore Speech & Hearing Institute.

In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards including the Best Zone Chairperson Award, Best Region Chairperson Award, two Excellent District Chairperson Awards, Best District Governor Award, District Governor Excellence Award, three Club Extension Awards, Founders Membership Growth Award, Knights of Leadership Medal, seven International President’s Certificates of Appreciation, an International President’s Medal and the Ambassador of Goodwill Award, the highest honor our association bestows on its members. He is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.

In addition to his Lions activities, Director Reddy is active in numerous professional and community organizations, including the Builders Association of India, the South India Hotels and Restaurants Association and the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India. He is also a patron member of the Indian Red Cross Society.

Director Reddy and his wife, Gowri, also a Lion and a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, have one son and one daughter.
