Help for the Blind and Visually Impaired

To provide the highest level of help for the blind possible, Lions Clubs International works in cooperation with the following sight-related organizations:

• AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration) Alliance International: The AMD Alliance International strives to bring knowledge, help and hope to individuals and families around the world affected by AMD.

• American Optometric Association (AOA): The AOA is the acknowledged leader and recognized authority for eye and vision care in the world.

• Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO): CAO’S mission is to enhance the quality, availability and accessibility of vision-related health care; promote the independent and ethical decision-making of its members; and assist optometrists in practicing to the highest standards of patient care.

• Hadley School for the Blind: The school’s mission is to promote independent living through lifelong distance education programs for people who are blind or visually impaired, their families and blindness service providers.
