Scott Drumheller Appointed Executive Administrator of Lions Clubs International
OAK BROOK, Illinois, USA, April 1, 2014 – Lions Clubs International (LCI) is pleased to announce that Scott Drumheller has been appointed as the association’s new executive administrator.
“I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to serve the association in my new capacity,” said Drumheller, who will also continue to serve as the association’s secretary. “I’m looking forward to supporting our members, growing our membership, and furthering our incredible legacy of service around the world.”
As executive administrator, Drumheller will oversee operations at the International Headquarters in Oak Brook, IL, for the association and Lions Clubs International Foundation, the charitable arm of Lions Clubs International. His goal is to ensure that the association remains a vital, innovative service organization that continues to expand its reach and impact.
Drumheller, an attorney, joined Lions Clubs International in September 2003 as its general counsel, and has served as the association’s secretary since 2006. Drumheller succeeds Peter Lynch, who retired after seven years in the role of executive administrator.
“I can’t say enough about how pleased I am, with the board’s blessing, to be handing over the baton to Scott. We are all very fortunate to have someone with his great abilities in an expanded leadership role,” said Peter Lynch, who will now be serving as LCI’s chief strategic adviser.
Lynch will be actively involved in strategic planning, membership initiatives, LCI’s centennial planning and other special projects. Since 1990, Lynch has served the association with distinction in numerous leadership roles.
“We’re fortunate to be able keep an experienced leader like Peter in our organization while promoting a very talented young leader like Scott,” said LCI International President Barry Palmer, of Australia. “Scott Drumheller is ready to lead this association into the future, and we’re looking forward to continued growth and success under his leadership.”
Drumheller earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Harding University in 1991, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1994, and a Juris Doctor degree from the DePaul University College of Law in 1998.
Prior to his work with LCI, Drumheller practiced law with three Chicago-area law firms, and he continues to counsel companies and non-profit organizations in labor and employment law, as well as corporate governance matters. Drumheller also taught human resources, management and leadership courses for 13 years as an adjunct professor at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois.
