AIRPORT GUIDE

Public Transportation from the airport is easy to access!

After your arrival by plane it only takes 25 minutes by the S1 rapid transit to get into the city center – no need to change trains and you just pay the normal HVV fare. This service is at a 10-minutes interval. The “Hamburg Airport (Flughafen)” S-Bahn station is directly in front of the terminals and is easily reached by lift, escalator or stairs.

When you travel to the airport, please get on in the front carriages: the S1 trains separate in Ohlsdorf. The first 3 carriages continue to the Hamburg Airport, the others go to Poppenbüttel.

Please check your route on hvv.de/en. You can dial up timetable information on your iPhone, smartphone or other similar mobile devices, too – just enter m.hvv.de. HVV timetable info is also available free of charge as an App for iPhone and Android.

All public buses in Hamburg are low-floor buses for an easy access of person with restricted mobility.

Many of the stations in our rapid transit network are also accessible via lift or ramp. You can get further information on www.hvv.de/en/all-you-need-to-know/mobility-impaired-passengers/
