Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre = EVERYTHING!

The Sydney Entertainment Centre is one of Sydney’s best indoor arenas, and is located adjacent to the convention center.  The Plenary Sessions and International Show will be held at this venue.

For guests with disabilities, scooter and wheelchair rentals will be available. Information will soon be posted on our Web site.

Did You Know ...

All travelers other than Australian and New Zealand citizens need to present the following documents to officers in immigration clearance:

  • Valid passport or other acceptable travel document
  • Valid visa or authority to enter Australia
  • Completed and signed Incoming Passenger Card, including health and character declaration

Your Hosts

The first Australian Lion Club was formed in the State of New South Wales on July 1st, 1947 and the first Sydney club was formed in 1952. Today there are over 1,340 clubs nationally consisting of over 28,000 Australian Lions Members. The 2010 Host Committee takes great pride in their city and, together with LCI, will do all that is possible to ensure a great convention experience for you. Two New Events this Year

A new event for 2010 is the “Ginkgo Awards Banquet.”  This celebratory event will be held on Thursday, July 1.  The award will recognize the outstanding achievements for growth by Lion members throughout the year.

Also new this year is the Global Youth Music Competition promoted by President Wirfs. The chosen instrument for the 2010 convention is the violin. Talented young musicians from around the world will be able to exhibit their musical and artistic abilities through this new and exciting contest. The competition will be held on Wednesday, June 30 at the Sydney Entertainment Center.

Early Bird Registration Until December 31, 2009 – US$100.

A convenient way to register for the convention is by using LCI’s online registration system. On this site, you can register for the convention, reserve a hotel room and request tickets to LCI official events. All of LCI’s official hotels are in the system, and you can even see pictures of some of the hotels. When using this mode of registration, you will receive an instant confirmation.
