Register for the Club Excellence Process

CEP LogoWant to get your club on the road to excellence? Then register for the Club Excellence Process (CEP)! CEP is a fun, interactive process that can help every club improve service, enhance its membership experience, and develop goals and action plans that will keep your club on track for growth and continued success. Clubs can choose between two formats: CEP Pro and CEP Lite.

  • CEP Pro is a facilitator-led workshop for clubs that want a trained Lion facilitator to come in and guide members through the workshop.

  • CEP Lite is a self-guided workshop for clubs that would prefer to have a member of their own club lead the workshop.

Learn more about CEP, choose the version that’s right for your club and register today!

Get Ready for Diabetes Month and World Diabetes Day

Perhaps you know someone living with diabetes. The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) states that 1 out of 2 people with diabetes don’t know they have it. The service Lions provide through diabetes projects is so important! Take the opportunity during November’s Diabetes Awareness Month to raise awareness, encourage early diagnosis, and promote healthy behaviors such as a dilated eye exam, improved nutrition, and increased physical activity. Visit our Diabetes Awareness and Action page for information, project ideas and resources!

Leo to Lion Program: A New Way to Grow Membership

Leo to Lion photoResearch suggests that young people who volunteer are twice as likely to volunteer as adults. Lions are supporting youth volunteerism through the Leo Club Program, and many Leos will continue to serve their communities into adulthood. To harness their dedication and energy, consider inviting former Leos to join your Lions club as part of October Membership Growth Month. You'll increase hands to do more service projects while ensuring your club's existence for many years to come. Help renew Leos' lifetime commitment to service by inviting them to become Lions.

Watch the New Season of Lions Quarterly

In the October issue of Lions Quarterly (LQ) video magazine, see how Lions around the world are making a global impact through the Reading Action Program – from creating mobile libraries that increase access to books to improving Braille and technology literacy. Watch Lions and Leos in Hawaii reach young girls in Afghanistan, and Lions in Australia restore and maintain a local wetlands environment. Finally, see how Lions in India are lifting people out of poverty through a microfinance program. So watch now, and remember to share LQ with your club members, project partners and community members. The video is available on Lions News Network (LNN) and YouTube.

Partner Spotlight: Reading is Fundamental

Reading is Fundamental LogoAs Lions from around the world take strides to improve literacy through the Reading Action Program, clubs and districts in the U.S. have an important opportunity to promote the joy of reading and lifelong learning. By partnering with Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), Lions can place books in the hands of the nation’s most vulnerable children. RIF is the largest children’s literacy nonprofit in the United States, and focuses on providing free books and literacy resources to low-income families. By giving children the opportunity to own books, RIF inspires children to become lifelong readers and achieve their full potential. To learn more about how your club can partner with RIF and how to get involved, please contact
