Reading when School isn’t in Session
Summer holiday is approaching for many students around the world. When schools close for seasonal or holiday breaks for days, weeks or months at a time, it’s critical for students to keep their reading skills sharp. Sadly, children whose families do not have access to books can fall behind. Through the Reading Action Program, Lions can promote literacy for children in need during off-school periods.
Learn how our Reading Action Program partners can help your club make the most of existing resources and keep students reading all summer long!
Changes to the Leo Club Program Advisory Panel
The Leo Club Program Advisory Panel is a communication vehicle for Leos and Lions to share ideas about the program with Lions Clubs International. The panel provides Leos and Lions with an opportunity to represent their respective constituents while evaluating matters affecting the Leo Club Program. Important changes were recently made to the panel composition and Leo nomination qualifications that make many more Leos eligible for nomination.
Please review the Leo nomination form and Lion nomination form to read about these changes and learn how your district or multiple district can participate in the Leo Club Program Advisory Panel.
