2014-15 Peace Poster Contest: Peace, Love and Understanding

The new theme for the 27th Annual Lions International Peace Poster Contest is Peace, Love and Understanding. To sponsor a Peace Poster Contest for children in your community, order a Peace Poster kit through Club Supplies (Item Search: Peace Poster Kit) or download the Order Form. The kit includes the official guide and rules, participant flyer, certificates and more. The contest is a great way to engage youth in your community and encourage children to express their thoughts on peace through art. Visit the LCI website for more information.

Plan a Hearing Project for International Ear Care Day

Photo of woman having a hearing testHearing loss is the primary sensory disability worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, over 360 million people live with disabling hearing loss, and 32 million are children. On March 3, the World Health Organization’s International Ear Care Day provides an opportunity to raise awareness and carry out community-based activities for promoting ear and hearing care. Consider collaborating with your Lions hearing foundation, hearing professionals, your country’s association for audiology, and local schools to provide hearing screenings for youth and adults. Arrange a presentation about preventing hearing loss from excess noise, or provide a hearing aid to someone in need. Visit the Hearing Program pages on our website for more information.
