Lions Clubs International Records Fourth Straight Year of Membership Increase
We’re pleased to report that Lions Clubs International has experienced our fourth straight year of membership increase. While many volunteer organizations continue to see a decline in members, 2010-11 marks the first time in nearly 20 years that the world's largest service club organization has recorded four straight years of membership increase. Growth in both women and family members are key factors driving the increase. Read news release.
Lions Roar in Seattle During 2011 International Convention
Last month, more than 15,000 of our members gathered in Seattle, Washington, USA to attend our 94th International Convention. And we’ve rounded up the top stories from this year’s event on the Lions Clubs International blog. Visit our blog to see event highlights, including the spectacular Parade of Nations, Keynote Speaker Condoleezza Rice, winners of the Global Youth Music Competition and a compilation of video highlights filmed onsite in Seattle.
Take Part in August Youth Global Service Action Campaign
As the focal point of his Presidential Theme, I Believe, President Tam asks Lions to believe in the value of giving back – and that one person truly can make a difference. To celebrate the unique gifts we all contribute in our quest to serve others, Lions have the chance to take part in four special Global Service Action Campaigns throughout the year. Learn what you can do during August to engage and mobilize youth in your community.
Build a Better Club with the Club Excellence Process Workshop
Does your club have a desire to learn more about service, club operation and related topics? You may wish to consider participating in a four-step, facilitator-led Club Excellence Process (CEP) Workshop. We encourage you to preview the CEP and then talk with your club about participating.
