Lions Children First Program
Lions Children First can provide your club with resources to develop hands-on service projects for children in need, with a focus on three key areas: food and shelter; health; and education/literacy. Today's children need Lions more than ever. You can make life better for a child who may be in need of food, shelter, health care and/or educational assistance. Lions Services for Children Symposium Program
The Lions Services for Children Symposium Program can be an effective way for a district or multiple district to develop collaborative relationships with governmental agencies, health care organizations, educators and others involved with providing aid to underserved children. Lions can determine the types of services that are needed and various ways to get involved. The program can provide expense assistance for up to US $2,000 for one (1) approved district or multiple district symposium per constitutional area and the continent of Africa, in accordance with the program's Rules of Audit. Learn more about the symposium program and the application process.
Lions/UNICEF School-in-a-Box
UNICEF and Lions clubs can team up to ensure the continuation of children's education when earthquakes, hurricanes, civil unrest and other disasters suddenly disrupt their daily lives. The School-in-a-Box kit helps to establish temporary classrooms almost anywhere in the world and provides essential school supplies and materials for a teacher and up to 40 students. School-in-a-Box gives children the opportunities for organized activities, interaction with peers and a semblance of normal life in times of crisis. Learn how your club, district or multiple district can make a donation.
