Lions Children First

Children FirstThe Lions Children First program can provide your club with resources to develop hands-on service projects for children in need, with a focus on three key areas:  food and shelter; health; and education/literacy.

Children need today’s Lions more than ever.  You can make life better for a child who may be in need of food, shelter, health care and/or educational assistance.

How the Lions Children First Program Can Help

Your club can organize and implement a successful children’s service project in your community.  The Lions Children First Program Kit (KITCF) includes materials and resources to implement successful Lions Children First projects.

"Lions Bringing Help and Hope to Children" PowerPoint

Lions attending the International Convention in Sydney, Australia (June 28 – July 2, 2010) learned how their club or district can make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children and adolescents through hands-on service projects.  This interactive session featured enthusiastic Lions who shared their experiences in organizing successful projects for children in need.

Service Day for Children’s Projects

You may wish to promote a special day in your community to implement a Lions service project for children and/or youth.  Learn more about commemorative days for children.

Share Your Successes

Use the on-line Lions Club Services Activity Report to tell us about your club’s Lions Children First project.  Sharing your story can help fellow Lions to learn from your experiences and encourage them to get involved with hands-on service projects for children.
