Lions Day with the United Nations

 

On March 16, 2012 more than 400 Lions from 23 countries gathered at the UN Headquarters in New York to celebrate the 34th Annual Lions Day with the United Nations (LDUN). The event has been an important opportunity for Lions, UN leaders, and key partners to come together each year to assess the various challenges facing our global community and help us strengthen our commitment to serve those in need.

2012 Event Highlights 

The 2012 program focused primarily on our joint efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), particularly as they relate to childhood survival (MDG 4) and environmental sustainability (MDG 7).
