The district international relations chairperson is appointed by the district governor to provide clubs with the assistance they need to organize international relations service projects in their district.

Be familiar with the Lions Policy Statement on International Relations
Help establish twinning relationships with clubs in other countries
Encourage Lions to visit other clubs when traveling to other countries
Support International Relations Month (October)
Handle (in consultation with the district governor) requests for international medical assistance and international assistance programs
Encourage participation in Lions Day with the United Nations
Encourage Lions to participate in activities such as an international art exhibit
Work with the Lions international peace poster contest chairperson
Work with youth exchange chairpersons concerning the Lions international youth exchange and youth camp program or other Lions-sponsored international youth programs
Inform Lions about available LCIF international assistance grants
Council chairpersons and district governors may award the multiple district or district International Relations Chairperson a certificate of accomplishment upon completion of a successful year.
