The district governor appoints a Lion to serve as district cultural and community activities chairperson.

This chairperson should be familiar with:

  • Board policy as it pertains to the Cultural and Community Activities Program and Lions Crew at Work programs.

  • The responsibilities of serving as a district cultural and community chairperson.

Before developing a project, chairpersons should:  

  • Evaluate community needs.

  • Partner with local organizations.

  • Determine the best project for the community.

  • Outline a plan. Include procedures and costs involved in implementing the project. Submit the plan for approval.
