Blogs and Vlogs
With more than 1.3 million members in 205 countries, Lions are working to improve communities worldwide. And now, you can see how we're making a difference with blogs and vlogs that showcase our service projects.
Blogs by Lions
Go behind the scenes of club service projects – and get first-hand reports from the Lions and Leos involved – with the blogs and vlogs they create:
- The Worthing Lions Club is joining forces with 50 local groups, clubs and charities to bring a shuttered carpet store back to life during the holidays. Lions are leading the effort to transform the 1,200 square foot store into “The UpMarket” to sell vintage and recycled items. See how this project is providing a needed venue for holiday shoppers – and support for local charities.
- Lions in District 410B recently hosted a local Lions International Peace Poster Contest to encourage young people to artistically express their visions of peace. During the event, Lions presented certificates of achievement to all of the winners of the competition. Find out about this special event – and see photos of the four winning Peace Posters created by local children.
Blogs About Lions
Find out about our work in the world by reading blogs written by others about us, our members, our Foundation – and the service projects we support:
- The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce recently honored Lions for their work in the community. The Chamber praised the Sandpoint Lions Club for its Toys for Tots program, collecting used glasses and hearing aids, and providing college scholarships to local high school students. Learn more about this award winning club – and how it is making a difference.
- During the holidays, Glasses USA is encouraging Americans to give the gift of sight by donating used eyeglasses to local Lions clubs. Find out why Arlington County Detention Facility inmates help prepare eyeglasses donated to Lions by local residents. And how some of the eyeglasses donated to Lions find their way to vision-impaired inmates at the Eaton County Jail in Michigan.
