Lions Quest Lions clubs help children grow into solid citizens. By focusing on providing life skills to children in kindergarten through grade 12, these clubs help young people make responsible decisions. Communicate effectively. And avoid drugs. This school-based setting also offers you a wonderful opportunity to volunteer helping children while serving as a Lion.
The desire to help children succeed is the common element that brings Lions Quest Lions clubs members together. As part of a Lions Quest Lions club, you can choose to focus on projects that include:
Volunteering to help with service learning projects.
Delivering presentations about community service to students.
Registering teachers at a Lions Quest workshop.
Purchasing Lions Quest materials for students, including books ($2 to $6 per student, depending on grade).
Providing financial support for a Lions Quest workshop - from buying teacher lunches ($100 or less) to sponsoring a full workshop and teacher materials ($6,500 for 36 teachers).
You can charter a Lions Quest Lions club just like a traditional club. You will need:
20 or more charter members
A sponsoring club, district cabinet or district committee, region or zone
The district governor's approval
Completed charter application
Appropriate charter fees
