Latin America Extension Workshop Program
The Latin America Workshop is designed to provide extension-minded Lions an opportunity to learn key strategies to charter Lions clubs and participate firsthand in the formation of a new Lions club. Since the program’s inception in 2007, Lions have formed more than 300 new clubs in Latin America.
Workshop Content
The workshop covers:
- Selection of targeted communities
- Training on how to recruit Lions for a new club
- Exercises in team work
- Develop strategies to make effective contacts
- Training on how to conduct the new club’s first and second meeting
- Certified Guiding Lion training (optional)
Training can be conducted on the weekend to allow for more Lions to participate. Community selected leaders and prospective members should be visited immediately after the workshop by teams of no more than three Lions.
