New Club Development Workshops

New Club Development Workshops are available in a flexible three, four or five day format in the following areas:

• North America
• Latin America
• Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia

Districts can submit a request to have a new club development consultant come to their district to train and assist in the formation of a new club. Consultants are Lions with extensive knowledge in forming new clubs and are ready to assist your district.

To request a workshop, complete the online form by clicking on the appropriate area above. Once a request has been approved by Lions Clubs International, the district will be assigned a new club development consultant. Because all districts are different, the consultant will work with the club organizer on the logistics of the workshop.

Optional, but strongly encouraged

• Classroom training on new club formation
• Informational night on the last day of the workshop
• Certified Guiding Lion Training

Before the consultant arrives to the district the following must be completed by the district:

1. Identify two Certified Guiding Lions.
2. Complete a Community Needs Assessment for the prospective area(s).
3. Schedule meetings with community leaders to inform and invite them to become a member.
4. Print out recruiting flyers with details of the informational meeting.
