New Club Development Workshops
New Club Development Workshops
New Club Development Workshops are available in a flexible three, four or five day format in the following areas:
Districts can submit a request to have a new club development consultant come to their district to train and assist in the formation of a new club. Consultants are Lions with extensive knowledge in forming new clubs and are ready to assist your district.
To request a workshop, complete the online form by clicking on the appropriate area above. Once a request has been approved by Lions Clubs International, the district will be assigned a new club development consultant. Because all districts are different, the consultant will work with the club organizer on the logistics of the workshop.
Optional, but strongly encouraged
- Classroom training on new club formation
- Informational night on the last day of the workshop
- Certified Guiding Lion Training
Before the consultant arrives to the district the following must be completed by the district:
- Identify two Certified Guiding Lions.
- Complete a Community Needs Assessment for the prospective area(s).
- Schedule meetings with community leaders to inform and invite them to become a member.
- Print out recruiting flyers with details of the informational meeting.
