Announcing a Special Quarterly Presidential Award for Zone and Region Chairpersons!

Achieving your dream of a successful year as a Zone or Region Chairperson means fulfilling many roles as a district leader. An effective chairperson will keep clubs informed of the latest membership strategies, encourage involvement in district activities, utilize the support and participate in the efforts of the GMT and GLT Coordinators and positively motivate clubs to strive to attain the Club Excellence Award.  But how do you get started?

Let this special presidential award for Zone and Region Chairpersons be your plan for success! During the 2013-2014 fiscal year, Zone and Region Chairpersons have an opportunity to receive a special presidential pin each quarter specific requirements for the quarter are met. You will receive a single star award for meeting the requirements of any single quarter, a two-star award for meeting the requirements of two quarters, a three-star award for meeting the requirements for any three quarters and a four-star award for meeting the requirements for all four quarters.  An application is required for each quarter and the requirements are based on activities that are important and unique to each quarter.

Zone and Region Chairpersons who achieve four star status will also receive the prestigious International Leadership award. This distinctive medal is given by the International President to Lions who have made a significant leadership contribution.

You will also receive special quarterly communications and support to help you reach your goals and inspire others to follow their dreams.

To qualify, and begin to receive correspondence, it is critical that you are recorded via MyLCI or via application with Lions Clubs International by your District Governor. You must also have an active email address to receive correspondence.

The applications are writable documents that may be downloaded and completed then forwarded to your District Governor. The District Governor must sign each application, or email the application from his or her registered email, to verify the requirement.  Awards will be sent to the district governor in office at the time of shipment.

Award schedule and due dates:

Quarter One: (July 1, 2013-September 30, 2013) application must be received by October 31, 2013

IMPORANT: Please note that some Area Forums are held before the first quarter deadline date. To receive acknowledgement during Area Forums your application must be received as noted below. Otherwise, the October 31, 2013 deadline applies.

Quarter Two

Quarter Four: (April 1, 2014 – June 30, 2014) application must be received by July 31, 2014
