Disability

Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) has a long history of supporting initiatives to help disabled populations. In fact, one of LCIF's four pillars of service is to combat disability. The Foundation provides funding for an array of programs that aid people who have disabilities. The Opening Eyes Program provides Special Olympics athletes with vision testing and eyeglasses. More than 1,000 homes have been built through our partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Lions Affordable Hearing Aid Program (AHAP) offers hearing aids to people with hearing loss at a reduced and affordable price. Grants for the disabled improve their educational and job prospects, as well as enhancing their day-to-day functionality and emotional well-being. Through the Foundation, Lions are empowering the disabled to lead more independent, productive and fulfilling lives.
