Lions Quest 25-Year Anniversary Celebration Kicked-off at Convention

Oak Brook, Illinois, USA, July 6, 2009 – In recognition of Lions Quest's 25-year anniversary, Lions Clubs International Foundation will be supporting a number of exciting activities throughout the upcoming year. The kick-off to the celebration commenced at the 92nd Annual Lions Clubs International Convention in Minneapolis.

Throughout convention, Lions had many opportunities to learn more about the positive youth development program and show their support for Lions Quest. Anniversary buttons, anniversary brochures and a new Lions Quest DVD, "Skills for Life," were available at convention and will continue to be available throughout the year.

Lions who contribute to the program will receive a special "I Support Lions Quest" button, signifying their donation. Additional promotion and information will be available at both the USA/Canada and Europa Forums.

Convention is just the start to this exciting benchmark year for Lions Quest. At the beginning of the school year, Lions Quest will launch the "Heroes in the Community" contest, joining Lions and Lions Quest classrooms together in service. In May of 2010, participating clubs and Lions Quest classrooms will be recognized for their joint service projects, with one Lions club and Lions Quest classroom team being named the top "Hero in the Community."

As Lions Quest embarks on an exciting year of celebration, share with your fellow Lions and communities about the great success of the program. It is through the goodwill of our Lions that the Foundation is able to impact the lives of youth around the world.
