Leo and Leo club awards and recipients

Leo of the Year Award 
One Leo from a Lions multiple district can be nominated. Requirements for the award appear on the Leo of the Year Award (LEO-LOY) application form.  View list of current winners.

Leo Club Excellence Award
All districts (single or sub-district) may endorse one Leo club per district to receive the prestigious Leo Club Excellence Award patch, for an application click LEO-105. View list of current winners.

100% Leo Multiple District President Award
Leo multiple district presidents who meet specific award criteria (see LEO-107a) may be awarded a certificate.

100% Leo District President Award
Leo district presidents who meet specific award criteria (see LEO-106a) may be awarded a certificate.

100% Leo Club President Award
Leo club presidents who meet specific award criteria (see Leo-100a) may be awarded a certificate.

Leo Club Extension Award
The Leo extension awards recognize Lions and Leos who contribute to the organization of new Leo clubs in their district or multiple district (achieving a net gain of at least three or five new Leo clubs respectively in their district by June 30). Top Ten Leo Club Extension Lapel Pin
Lions and Leos of the ten districts with the hightest net growth of new Leo clubs during a fiscal year receive a gold lapel pin. View the list of the current Top Ten Leo districts for the fiscal year and their multiple districts who supported the Leo club extension efforts of a Top Ten District.

Leo Spotlight on Children Award
Leo clubs who organize projects to help children in adverse circumstances can apply for a banner patch award and individual certificates of recognition. Requirements for the award appear on the application form.

Leo Lion Serving Together Award
The Leo club and its Lions club sponsor receive a banner patch for successful completion of a joint project. Requirements for the award appear on the application form.

Leo October Membership Growth Award
Any Leo who recruits three or more new members in October can receive the Leo Club Membership Growth Award. To obtain the award, Leo club advisors must submit the following information in writing to the Youth Programs Department at International Headquarters. The award request deadline is November 30.

• The advisor’s name and mailing address
• The name of the Leo(s) receiving the award  
• The names of the new Leo club members (three or more)
• Authorization to charge the account of the sponsoring Lions club for each new member (US$5 Leo club entrance fee), which includes new member kits.

International Club Twinning Award
Leo clubs that participate in the International Club Twinning Program are eligible to receive a special certificate or banner patch as recognition of their participation. Click here for more information about this award or get the click here for the award application.

Club Anniversaries
Patches for the Leo club and sponsoring Lins club are automatically sent from the Youth Programs Department to Leo clubs/sponsoring Lions clubs achieving the fifth, tenth, fifteenth, twentieth, twenty-fifth, thirtieth and thirty-fifth anniversaries of their certification.
