Membership and Retention Chairpersons

 Membership and retention chairpersons are elected to every Lions club, every district and every multiple of Lions Clubs International (LCI). Membership chairpersons oversee membership growth and invitation; Retention chairpersons oversee retention efforts. 

General responsibilties of each chairperson include the following:

  • Plan, promote and implement membership growth and/or retention programs.
  • Conduct membership growth and/or retention workshops.
  • Write articles on membership growth and/or retention for district or multiple district publications.
  • Encourage clubs to invite and retain members.

October Membership Growth Program recognizes clubs for recruiting in the month of October. 
Lions Worldwide Induction Day
welcomes new members and fosters club awareness.

Your club should also be aware that Lions Clubs International offers a structure and discounted dues for students, family members and graduating Leos to become Lions.
