New Century Lions are making a difference in their communities by serving those less fortunate in a variety of ways. They are young adult men and women through the age of 35 (at join date) who conduct their clubs in a flexible, relaxed format to fit their active lifestyles. This club format offers members numerous opportunities: fun, friendship, challenging experiences, creativity, personal growth, leadership, networking, international fellowship and teamwork.

Two New Century Clubs Voted "Club of the Year" at 2005 Academy Awards
During the International Academy Awards ceremony at the 88th annual convention in Hong Kong, two New Century Clubs received this prestigious designation. The Bursa Karagoz New Century Lions Club, District 118K, Turkey, was voted "Club of the Year in Europe." The Jakarta Kota Raya New Century Lions Club, District 307-A, Indonesia, was voted "Club of the Year in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, & the Islands of the Pacific Ocean." Congratulations!

New Century Lions: Plan to attend the 91st International Convention!
Join with Lions around the globe in beautiful, Bangkok, Thailand, for the annual convention to be held Monday, June 23 through Friday, June 27, 2008. Register now! Meet and exchange ideas with international friends and attend various seminars planned for you:

  • "The LEADERSHIP EXCHANGE"
    Wednesday, July 4, 2-4 p.m. at McCormick Place
    Back by popular demand, this fast-paced, interactive session invites you to share ideas, challenges and successes with fellow Lions. Join us for an energetic and exciting seminar where you will not only learn from each other, but also have some fun in the process.

  • Lions ALERT and Lions Serving Humanity Seminar 
    Wednesday, July 4, 2 p.m.
    Lions who assisted after the World Trade Center collapse, the tsunami in Asia, the earthquake in Pakistan, and Hurricane Katrina in the US will share their expertise and encourage others to develop pro-active Lions ALERT plans. The speakers will also explain how to donate or receive emergency or non-emergency supplies through the online Lions Serving Humanity database.

  • Third Annual Lions Environmental Photo Contest Ceremony
    Thursday, July 5, 2 p.m.
    The convention floor is the venue for the breath-taking gallery of 2006-07 Lions Environmental Photo Contest multiple district entries. Registered conventioneers are invited to vote for their favorite photos. During the convention floor ceremony, the winners of the international photography contest will be announced.
