Lions Green Teams are ready to help save the planet by:

• cleaning the environment - 32% of clubs organize a community clean-up project.   
• planting trees - if every club planted a tree, there would be more than 44,000 new trees on the planet; if every Lion planted a tree, there would be more than 1.3 million new trees on the planet.
• recycling - eyeglasses, paper, computers, and car batteries can be recycled. 
• educating others - a hybrid car exhibit and an environment contest help educate others about the environment.

Lions made a commitment to the environment in the same year (1972) that the United Nations General Assembly created the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
