The district governor appoints a Lion to serve as district environment chairperson:

To help create and sustain conditions under which human society and nature can thrive in harmony and enhance the quality of life for current and future generations.

The district environment chairperson should be familiar with:

• Lions Policy Statement on the Human Environment;
• chairperson responsibilities; 
• Lions Environment PowerPoint (please allow a few minutes for the PowerPoint to load);
• environment issues;
• Lions Green Team Guide;
• project suggestions;
• Lions Environmental Photo Contest.

Chairpersons can present the downloadable Lions Green Team Certificate of Appreciation to environment project participants.

Environment chairpersons can submit project reports and photographs to: programs@lionsclubs.org

Qualified chairpersons will receive the District Environment Chairperson Award.
