 Vince Vinella
Vince Vinella from Sparks, Nevada, USA, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 90th International Convention, held in Chicago, Illinois, USA, July 2-6, 2007.
Director Vinella is retired from retail clothing management.
A member of the Reno Arch Lions Club and a Lion since 1973, Director Vinella has held many offices within the association, including club president of two clubs, zone chairperson, district governor and council chairperson. He also served as Campaign SightFirst sector coordinator, on the Lions International Convention Elections Committee and as chairperson of the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum Host Committee.
In recognition of his service to the association, Director Vinella has received numerous awards, including two 100% Club President Awards, three Club Lion of the Year Awards, the 100% District Governor Award, three District Lion of the Year Awards, a Multiple District Lion of the Year Award, a Multiple District Excellence Award, numerous International President’s Certificates of Appreciation, five International President’s Awards and the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest award the association grants to its members. He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Vinella is active in numerous professional and community organizations. In the past, he served as chairperson of the Hillsdale Merchants Association and the South Shore Merchants Association and as a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Director Vinella and his wife, Charlene, also a Lion and Melvin Jones Fellow, have three children and one grandchild.
