Drs. Ton Soeters
Drs. Ton Soeters, from Huizen, The Netherlands, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 91st International Convention, held in Bangkok, Thailand, June 23-27, 2008.
Director Soeters is a psychologist and director of a management consultancy organization.
A member of the Bussum Godelinde Lions Club and a Lion since 1991, Director Soeters has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chairperson, council chairperson and district governor. He has also served as a coordinator for Campaign SightFirst II.
In recognition of his service to the association, Director Soeters has received numerous awards, including the Club President Award and the Governor’s Appreciation Award. He is a Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Soeters has been active in numerous professional and community organizations.
Director Soeters and his wife, Machteld Soeters-Kruithof, have two children.
