 Howard Lee
Howard Lee, of Farnham, England, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association's 86th International Convention, held in Denver, Colorado, USA, June 30-July 4, 2003.
Director Lee is senior partner in a firm of chartered accountants.
A member of the Farnham Lions Club since 1976, Director Lee has held many offices within the association, including club twinning officer, club public relations officer, club traveling Lion, club social chair, club membership chair, club president, zone chair, district Drug Trust chair, district membership chair, district international relations officer, district Future Planning chair, district Nominations & Resolutions chair, district diabetes trustee, district Service & International chair, district Belarus Projects Group chair and district governor. On the multiple district level, he has served as diabetes coordinator, club development chair, constitutions and resolutions chair, auditor, treasurer and Conventions Ltd. director. Additionally he was a member of the Nominations Committee for the 1992 International Convention in Hong Kong and was an international fiscal agent. He currently serves on the Inernational Commitee for Campaign SightFirst II and as a chairperson of the International Board Public Relations Committee.
In recognition of his service to the association he has received numerous awards, including the 100% Club President Award, the New Club Extension Award, the Zone Chairperson Growth Award, the 100% District Secretary Award, the 100% District Governor Award, the District International Relations Officer's Award, the International President's Certificate of Appreciation, two Leadership Medals and two International President's Awards. He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lion activities, Director Lee is active in numerous professional and community organizations, including serving as director of the Farnham Working Men's Conservative Club Company Ltd. He is also a member of the Blacknest Golf Club. In the past, he served as director of MedicAlert for British Isles and Ireland.
Director Lee and his wife, Claire, have two children.
