LCIF Approves US$2.83 Million in Grants at March 2008 Board Meeting

Oak Brook, Illinois, USA--More than US$2.83 million in grants was approved at the March 2008 LCIF Board Meeting. A total of 73 grants were awarded to Lions clubs all over the world to assist many humanitarian projects.

This includes six Core 4 grants to construct homes with Habitat for Humanity. With these funds, Lions will construct the 1,000th Habitat for Humanity home through this partnership program.

Lions Clubs International Foundation provides grant funding to Lions districts for large-scale humanitarian projects too extensive for Lions to finance on their own. LCIF is the charitable arm of Lions Clubs International, the largest service club organization in the world with 1.3 million members in 202 geographic areas and countries.
